Before an election is called, I need your help to get a serious political campaign going.
I will need money and volunteers for a run at becoming an Independent Conservative Member of Parliament. And I will need support to use Galganov.com as my principle communications medium.
I will accept financial support for Galganov.Com from anyone in any country who is interested in supporting this Web Site.
After the election is called, I will only accept “political” support from Canadians as Canadian electoral law dictates.

I Will Be Canada's Reasonable Conservative Voice.
If my bid for a seat in Ottawa is successful, I will have access to two staffed offices and enormous amounts of research and information. I will also have free flights to travel all of Canada so all of our voices can be heard from coast to coast to coast.
I Will Work As Hard As Possible To Be Canada's Member Of Parliament.
Think of the alternatives. What do any of the major Parties stand for?
Here's Why I Believe You Should Vote For Me.
Just like you, I want to live in a society where needed social benefits are made possible by responsible governments. But I do not want my governments abusing my trust by weaseling their way into my private life, and by spending my hard earned cash as if they had won it in a lottery.
I Will Provide A Voice In Ottawa For You.
I'm a successful advertising business owner (since 1979) with employees. I understand from first hand knowledge what the difficulties are of running a small business in Canada.
I live on a horse farm where I grow, cut and bale my own hay. I know from my own sweat and tears how hard it is to be a farmer.
I was born to two poor and loving parents (February 12, 1950) who did their military duty and served in the Canadian armed forces during WW II. My dad served overseas for 5 years where he was wounded and decorated several times.
I know from experience what it feels like to have virtually nothing while growing up. And what it feels like to be happy all the same because of love in the family.
Healthcare.
I am a Cancer survivor and a Type II Diabetic. I know how important universal healthcare is. Our government must do whatever is necessary to make it better, including adding far more privately run practices and hospitals paid by the State.
Our government should allow Canadians to go out of Canada for publicly funded healthcare if the services cannot be provided within our own country in a timely fashion, or if proven treatments and services are not available in Canada.
I know how much it costs for me to take my Diabetic pills, and how hard it is for people who can't afford to cover the costs. I know, because my late mother used to lie awake at night worrying how she could afford her Diabetic medication, waiting for the day she turned 65 so she could easily afford it.
She didn't make it to 65.
I never knew how hard it was for her until it was too late. She didn't want to burden her children. How many other people are out there who are not sleeping at night because of the cost of their prescribed medications?
If I was your voice, I would scream to take the billions of tax dollars our governments squander, and put that money into free prescription drugs for all Canadians.
I Have Always Put My Money Where My Mouth Is.
I have created multi-million dollar campaigns in defense of women's rights to be free from conjugal violence, where I managed to source the means and the money to get threatened women and their children to safety.
I have directly helped shelter homeless people and feed hungry children.
I care a great deal about animal rights, and do whatever I can to aid and defend animals in distress. In 1998 I went onto the ice floes 30 miles into the Atlantic from Prince Edward Island to broadcast my radio show live, for the purpose of ending the senseless and barbaric slaughter of seals.
I actually walked on the ice towards a sealing vessel in order to get between them and the seals they were randomly shooting. At the sight of myself and others who were with me, the sealers hauled anchor and left.
I have fought ethnocentric nationalism within Quebec, to the point where I was named one of Canada's newsmakers of the year in 1996.
In spite of death threats to be silent, my wife and I chose to live with armed bodyguards 24/7 (for years) to protect our property and animals so that I would not be silent.
I've met with a member of the US Congress and got his public pledge not to accept Quebec Separation as “business as usual”. This meeting changed much of the dynamics in Quebec's argument for separation.
Lucien Bouchard left Quebec politics because he couldn't stand the racist heat I created for him.
I have been featured in newspapers and magazines worldwide, including The Economist and Time Magazine, as an individual willing to fight for Equal Rights for all people regardless of the risks and the cost.
Hard Work And Success Should Be Rewarded.
Our country must provide opportunities for those willing to make the effort, and a safety net for those who cannot, with subsistence living for those who will not.
No One should be destitute. But people shouldn't get a free ride for laziness.
There are a great many things that are good about Canada; so many, that even the politicians can't destroy them all. But what's best about Canada is its untapped potential.
There was a time not that long ago when Wilfred Laurier, Canada's Prime Minister from 1896 to 1911 said: “The 20th century shall belong to Canada.”
He should have been right. But he wasn't.
But it's not too late for Canada to become the nation that it could have been. So why can't the 21st century belong to Canada?
I don't believe we Canadians need a ‘Nanny-State' that intrudes into the privacy of our lives.
We're Taxed Too Much.
I want Canada to have the lowest taxes possible, including a new simple tax structure based upon a flat rate principle.
There should be no government surpluses, since the government should only tax for what it needs. Government surpluses are nothing more than political thievery or a sign of very bad fiscal management.
If there are surpluses, they should go directly to paying down the national debt.
Billions of Canadian dollars are wasted every year on so-called cultural spending which includes everything from the arts and literature to the National Film Board and the CBC.
Most of this money is nothing more than patronage and a way to keep government bureaucrats employed.
We Can't Feed Our Children.
Do you know that Canada spends billions of dollars on foreign aid, while more than a million Canadian children go to bed hungry every night?
Who gets our foreign aid money while our children go to bed hungry?
Do you know that Canada gives billions of dollars (as much as $10 billion) to NGO's (non government agencies), which represent us around the world doing things none of us ever asked them to do, and probably don't want them to do.
Canada gives the Native population about $10 billion per year. How has that helped the natives or the country?
The Environment.
Scrap all of Kyoto since it is a gibberish document made to benefit poverty nations at the expense of successful nations. It's the new Leftist industry right alongside the poverty industry.
I suspect that Global warming is far more about cyclical weather changes than it is about anything humanity is doing.
That said though; we do have an important responsibility to ourselves, future generations and to our planet to clean up our act.
We must cease to pollute wherever and whenever possible. We must encourage private and public industry to be environmentally responsible in every way possible.
The Government Must Set The example.
Canada should build as many nuclear plants as the nation needs to power itself. With enough clean electric energy, we can all stop using much of the polluting fossil fuels that are now our primary means of heating our homes and providing us with transport.
We should construct an ultra high-speed rail system (preferably electric) connecting our largest cities, which would go a long way to substantially reducing polluting commuter air services.
One passenger jet consumes more fuel, and creates more pollution in just one take-off and landing than most individuals will create in a lifetime of driving.
We should mandate all public transit in cities to be by electric busses and streetcars.
How Many Ministries Do We Need?
Why are so many national programs duplicated between the provinces and the country?
How Come?
How come Canada can have Free Trade with the United States, but we don't have Free Trade between our provinces?
Why can't Prairie Farmers sell their wheat privately, while farmers east of Manitoba can?
Why does our gasoline cost more than the same gas costs in the USA, when we import none of it and sell most of it?
How Come - About Quebec?
How come people from Quebec can work in construction wherever they want to in the rest of Canada, but Canadians from the rest of Canada cannot work in construction within Quebec?
How come there are two versions of Canada's Charter of Rights, one version for Quebec, with another for the rest of Canada?
How come Quebec can have cultural laws (Bill 101) that forbid the unrestricted use of the English language (as well as other languages), while the rest of Canada is forced to embrace all languages and cultures through Trudeau's vision of multiculturalism for Canada (with the exception of Quebec)?
Why is there an Official Languages Commission, when its only mandate is to promote the use of the French language outside of Quebec?
How come English is so taboo in Quebec, that even bilingual 'Anglos' can't get jobs in Quebec's civil service (less than 1%) with almost one fifth (nearly 20%) of Quebec's population being non-French?
At the same time, why is it that the federal government employs close to 35% French speakers in Canada's civil service, when less than 3% of the Canadian population outside of Quebec is French speaking?
Why is it that Quebec has been recognized by Ottawa to be a Nation?
Why does Quebec have the right to operate its own immigration service and is recognized as having nation-to-nation status with members of the Francophonie?
Why is it that a poverty province like Quebec, which is funded primarily by Ontario and Alberta has such an enormous influence on national and foreign policies?
How I See Canadian - Quebec Relations.
I will support the friendly departure of Quebec from Confederation, so the 21st century will indeed belong to Canada.
I will take Rene Levesque's favorite expression to heart, when he was proud to say that Quebec should be as French as Ontario is English. What's good for the Goose is good for the Gander.
Quebec has proven through its laws and actions that Canada is not a bilingual country.
I would never suggest, nor would I support a language law in the rest of Canada that would restrict the rights and visibility of the French language, as Quebec does to non-French residents. Specifically English speakers.
Immigration.
I would demand that all immigrants moving to Canada understand that the culture they are leaving behind stays in their homes and in the countries they've left.
I would not tolerate any illegal immigration. If you're in my country illegally, you should be put on the first plane out.
Taking years to deport illegal immigrants is absolute stupidity.
I would deport any landed immigrant for committing a crime. Even if that immigrant becomes a Canadian citizen.
Immigrating to Canada must be an absolute privilege opposed to an assumed right.
Religion & Culture.
I am a strong advocate for the complete separation of Church from State.
I do not support publicly financed religious schools.
I do not support the ‘right' of Sikhs to wear turbans in the RCMP.
I do not believe in reasonable accommodation. Come to my country and become like us. Don't expect us to become like you.
I support the right of all people to practice their religion without the interference of the State as long as that religion does not preach hatred and violence against others.
I want open access to all Mosques and Moslem schools to know what the adults and their children are being taught.
Crime & Punishment.
I want criminals treated as criminals and victims as victims.
I would support an increase in mandatory punishment. And if that means building more prisons. So be it.
I would support any motion to scrap most of the Young Offenders Act. If a child commits a capital crime, let that child be tried as an adult. And let that child's identity be known.
I support a national ID card to be used for healthcare, driving and voting.
In Closing:
I am Conservative where it is important to be Conservative in terms of taxation, crime & punishment, individual rights and personal responsibility.
I am compassionate in terms of universal healthcare and free prescription drugs for all Canadians.
We must invest whatever it takes to build and maintain a better military and police force.
I support a fully funded public school system where teachers are held as much accountable for the success of their students, as are the students they teach.
I want to reward people who make the effort and sacrifice to be successful. And even though I will not have people starving on the streets, I do not want to reward people who refuse to work and contribute to our society.
Either Quebec can become a province like all others. Or Quebec can leave.
I want less government at all levels
Help me get to Ottawa as the people's MP and you will have a voice.
Best Regards - Howard Galganov
