This Isn’t About . . . Let’s All Pile Onto McCain.
Thank You One & All for Your Comments & Private Emails concerning my Last Editorial, where I wrote about the Difference between a WAR HERO like my Dad, and so many other Fine Men & Women who Served their Respective Countries Without Seeking Fame & Fortune as a Result . . . & John McCain, who after Returning home from Combat & Imprisonment, McCain Capitalized on his War Record, his Name & Family Contacts.
I NEVER MEANT to Intimate that John McCain didn’t do his Duty, nor was he NOT TORTURED at the Hanoi Hilton, since he was Only One of Many Brave Souls who went through the Same Wringer . . . but Unlike others, McCain came out the other side . . . Far Better-Off than Most.
What I do Criticize, is that John McCain entered Politics Riding on his War Record, which is fine, but then used that War Record to Paint a Narrative About Himself as being A Superman, giving himself a License to be Morally SUPERIOR to Everyone Else.

I didn’t Write what I did about my Father’s War Record to Enhance the Life of my Dad (But I’M Happy I Did). But Rather, I wrote about my Dad to Separate Reality from Perception.
John McCain . . . like so many Politicians, is a Self-Serving, Pompous, Arrogant Narcissist, whose Exceptional Ability is to Con the People into Believing he is Somehow Special, AND DESERVING OF THEIR UNQUESTIONING TRUST & SUPPORT.
THE TRUTH IS . . . Like Most Politicians, John McCain is all about John McCain, just like all other Politicians are Mostly all about Themselves. And It Bothers Me To No End, how these Members of the House & Senate, so Easily get away with their Lies, Deceit and Incompetence . . . John McCain Being No Exception.
BUT WHAT BOTHERS ME MORE THAN THAT . . . Is That John McCain, Right to the Bitter End, is using his Elected Position, NOT for the Betterment of the American People, Including his Arizona Constituents, but for his Own Mean-Spirited Ego, by Attempting to DENY PRESIDENT TRUMP’S NOMINEE, GINA HASPEL, to the Position as the HEAD OF THE CIA.
A Year Ago (July 2018) . . . McCain Left His Sick-Bed to Appear Before the Senate, in the Wee Hours of the Morning to Grandstand as the Single Vote, with his Infamous Thumbs Down, to Derail the Republican’s Skinny-Bill to Repeal Obamacare.
AND NOW . . . With Literally One Foot In The Grave – McCain is About To Do It All Over Again, by Voting Against One of The Best CIA Leadership Nominees Ever, only because John McCain is Nothing More & Nothing Less than a Self-Centered Piece of Crap, REGARDLESS of what McCain went through FORTY-FIVE YEARS AGO.

Is that John McCain – According to all that I can Discern about him, “Earned” his way in Life on the Strength of his Admiral Father & Admiral Grandfather, who was an Arrogant Self-Centered Prick Before his Stint at the Hanoi Hilton, was an Arrogant Self-Centered Prick as a Senator Before he was Cursed with Brain Cancer, and will Die as an Arrogant Self-Centered Prick Right To The Bitter-End.

John McCain is the POSTER-BOY for how the People (Electorate) either Create or Buy-Into the Phony Personas of Politicians They Look-Up-To, which they shouldn’t, which Guarantees Bad Leadership & Worse Decisions.
OUR COUNTRIES ARE NOT IN PARALYZING DEBT BECAUSE OF GOOD POLITIANS:
But More Than Just Paralyzing Debt . . . Because of our Politicians – Our Middle Class Is Now The Working Poor. And our Entitlements are Destroying the Importance of a Merit Based Socio/Economic Democracy, where Freedom should be the Hallmark of Who & What we are.

BECAUSE OF OUR LAZY & IGNORANT POLITICAL DECISIONS – We have Elected Politicians who have Appointed Incompetent Bureaucrats, and have Elevated Sleazy Bottom-Feeding Lawyers to sit in Judgment as Judges over the People they have been Screwing . . . Virtually from the Day they Passed their Law Exams and went to Work to make as Much Money as Legal Sleaze could Generate.

I REMEMBER WHEN TED KENNEDY DIED . . . Kennedy was a Drunk, Entitled, and a Womanizing Coward, who Deserted a Drowning Young Woman, whom he Left in his Sinking Car after a Drunken Night of Partying . . . This Piece Of Kennedy Crap Was Eulogized . . . As The Lion Of The Senate.
The Politicians For The Most Part Are All The Same . . . But It Is We Who Are The Ones Responsible – & It Is We Who Will Pay The Price.

Good editorial like usual. It’s too bad they are not more people like you that could and should run for office and bring back sanity in a world gone insane with this leftist socialist communist politically correct idiocy that is ruining this planet.
Sadly McCain and family have known for sometime that this disease is terminal and that there is no coming back. It is a brain disease and no one would trust decisions being sane for day to day events let alone about running a country. Why those surrounding did not urge the man to resign in honor rather than upsetting the hell out of so many on his way out is beyond me.
To bad for all of us but I think this is just more of the Washington Swamp Disease.

I myself served in the USAF for almost 20 years between active duty and reserves and got called up for desert storm and several other incidents as well… I am not looking for any Gold Medals.. I am and was happy to serve..
I think they need to come back up with the draft and make all of these young kids pull at least two years.. I am sure they will learn something as well..

A few years ago I went to a Tea Party rally. A nice older lady said to me.He is the most vindictive person she had ever seen and how true.
Watching Newamax TV yesterday a man that had been in the government was chastising all who were telling the truth about said senator. I immediately turned him off as he in my estimation likes evil not the truth. I never fell for his dishonesty as well as my two daughters.
It is said that if you cannot say something nice about someone, don’t say anything at all.
Therefore, I will not speak of John McCain.

NOW IS THE TIME TO GIVE THE AMERICAN PATRIOTS A VOICE AS TO HOW LONG A SENATOR OR CONGRESSMAN CAN SERVE THEIR COUNTRY. BY EITHER A BILL OR REFERENDUM ,TO BE PUT ON THE BALLOTS AT ELECTION TIME TO HAVE THE AMERICAN CITIZEN DECIDE WHAT TERM OR TERMS THEY SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO SERVE. I understood yesterday’s editorial, clearly. As I saw exactly what McCain was about..Himself. We elected these self serving folks and even though I stopped voting for these vultures, others did not. We got in this position because people did NOT do their homework. We need people who will vote on items for the betterment of our country, NOT themselves. Term Limits are now needed. Thank you Howard. America did right by limiting their Presidents to two terms in office. They should do the same for members of the house and senate. All offices in a democracy elected and appointed should have term limits. Then perhaps there would be a limit on the amount of damage self serving individuals could do. We in Canada desperately need the same type of rules applied. Why should anyone be able make a career out of politics? Service to ones country should be a duty not a career.
Years ago, I was an engineer working on a government project for the Idaho Brain Tumor Institute in Idaho Falls. Used a neutron generating reactor to shoot a beam thru a special alloy to slow the beam enough to be captured by chemical injected into human brain tumors. The chemical turned the neutrons into gamma rays that destroyed the tumor without damaging local brain cells. The project was cancelled and sent to a lab without the proper reactor, and ended. McCain’s twin, of course, is John Kerry, he holds no official office but recently negotiated with Iranian leaders. Kerry alo used his Vietnam war experience to enter politics, practically in step with McCain. For comparison, McCain met with ISIS fighters in 2012, mostly for a photo op. We know whose side these two sidewinders were on, their own, certainly not the American people or military.

Agree with Mr. Connely as to WHY McCain’s HEALTH ISSUE has not been addressed re: his position in making JUDGMENTS and DECISIONS as a SENATOR–especially when he’s on his deathbed? My brother-in-law died of the same disease and when HE was on his deathbed, he wouldn’t have been able to make REASONABLE decisions, etc… For sure, if he was a TRUE REPUBLICAN, the DEMORATS would have ALREADY attempted to CAST HIM OUT OF OFFICE! How a person can be so VINDICTIVE, esp. when dying, is beyond me! AMEN!
Well stated Howard. Yes, we need term limits because most voters in the USA (both parties), vote based on name recognition alone. Ergo the longer a politician holds office the better his name is recognized. I doubt that any incumbents will allow the voters to decide.
I don’t usually comment, but I have not voted for Mccain for his last 3 elections. Sir, as usual, you are so right. There are a bunch more “John McCains” in Washington. They make promises and keep none because of Something. I believe in term limits for politicians and age limits. Hell, we have folks in Washington falling asleep in their chairs. I do not believe “Older is Wiser”. I Voluntered for the Army and served two years, received an Honorable Discharge. I think every person at age 18 be required to serve the Military, builds confidence and character.

I agree with you about John McCain!! He is no hero. He could have helped get those POWS left behind but they knew too much about him for them to come home. I have never liked him and glad he didn’t become President. He should have reitred because of his illness but is too pompous. To me he is little of stature and little of mind. Again, HE is NO HERO!!!

Never thought much of McCain from day 1. The thots about his condition having effect on his decisions – he just fits in to most of DC politicians; they pretty much all seemed ‘diminished’. As for Kamala Harris, I liked her initially but soon after she made her thoughts known in Congress my thots about her changed.
