Without You . . . There’s No Me

It's Too Easy To Take All The Credit, When The Credit Belongs Someplace Else:

This is the Last Editorial I will be writing until the day after Christmas.

Anne and I are more than Pleased and Grateful for the WONDERFUL Wishes we’ve both received from so many of you, and do not take any of them lightly.

I ALSO WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW . . . that in my Salutations at the end of my Return Emails, I didn’t wish many People Merry Christmas or Happy Chanukah, because I didn’t know who observes what.

BUT LET ME MAKE THIS CLEAR . . . To all my Christian Friends, I couldn’t possibly wish you MORE for Christmas, and of course for the New Year. And for all my Jewish Friends, I wish you no less for Chanukah and the New Year as well.

Anne and I have been BLESSED with the many relationships we’ve made because of Galganov.com throughout North America and Israel as well. And because of these relationships, we’ve both learned much.

AND YOU’VE GIVEN TO ME . . . what you ACCUSE me of giving to you – HOPE for the future, and a rationale for the endless hurdles and challenges, which face all of us everyday . . . whether at home, at work, in retirement or abroad, which gives to me, a real meaning to the expression LEANING ON EACH OTHER.

This Editorial might read more like a synopsis of the Year . . . but it isn’t, I’ll save that for December 31st. This Editorial is all about Giving Thanks, where all of you figure into it as prominently as you can imagine.

I’ve been writing for many years, mostly about Political and Social Issues, without mentioning what it is that keeps us all going from Day to Day, myself included, which is the HOPE for a better Tomorrow, and even though my Editorials are very often DOUR, I wouldn’t bother writing them if I didn’t believe that TOMORROW could be a better day.

AND THAT’S WHAT YOU DO FOR ME . . . From your Comments, to your Emails, and your Support for this BLOG; you show me that what I write has Substance, Value and Meaning, which makes all the Work, the Research, and the Activism Worthwhile.

When I started writing this BLOG more than a Dozen Years Ago, and now after publishing more than 2000 Editorials . . . I used to say to people that I’m writing for MYSELF and no one else, and if someone didn’t like what I wrote TOUGH LUCK. But that’s not true anymore.

I wrote this BLOG for my own sanity, because it bothered me enormously, how the Mainstream Media, our Politicians, and Bureaucrats treated us like fools. And instead of speaking to people, though this BLOG, I spoke to myself, which helped me form a real understanding of where I stood on the Socio/Political Scale.

And after so many years of doing this, I made a gradual, yet huge discovery, as thousands of people began to join the Galganov.com Directory . . . that I wasn’t nearly as alone as I thought I was. And that there is a huge number of people who don’t really think all that much more differently than me.

The other HUGE Benefit from Galganov.com to me, is how much I have learned, and continue to learn from the people who read the BLOG and let me know what they think.

ALSO . . . Even though I am always careful to write the REAL Truth, without Embellishments, having you as my CONSCIENCE & EDITOR . . . makes it even more important for me, not only to get it 100% RIGHT – 100% OF THE TIME, but to squeeze every ounce of FACT that is available, no matter how many rocks I have to crawl under to get them.

I was convinced that the OLD SCHOOL of Journalism died some time ago, with the advent of the 24-HOUR News Cycle, being camouflaged with Glitzy Stages, Fancy Intros, and Pretty Women with Long Legs and Short Skirts . . . But I wasn’t entirely right.

Because of the Internet, and perhaps MOSTLY because of Obama, the people of the United States found a Real Alternative to the JUNK News that was for a long time, the only thing available to them, which has been forced upon us for decades.

And as for Obama, I truly believe . . . that the people who actually work for what they get, or want to work for what they can get, who still Treasure the American Dream and Ronald Reagan’s Shining City On Of The Hill, who have been brought to the Edge of the Precipice, realized just how close the United States of America came to falling off . . . INTO A VERY DARK CHASM.

Because of this BLOG, and no shortage of other GREAT Internet News and Opinion Sites, WE STILL HAVE A BETTER THAN FIGHTING CHANCE to win back our countries and our VALUES to the way they used to be.

And because of You, and Your Comments, and your Emails to me . . . I’m feeling HOPEFUL that America will not only Straighten itself out, but with President-Elect Trump and the Fabulous Cabinet he is surrounding himself with, he might even be able to straighten out much of the world . . . INCLUDING CANADA, which has become deliriously drunk on its own LEFTIST BS.

SO PLEASE LET ME CLOSE THIS WITH THIS HEARTFELT SENTIMENT:

Merry Christmas to all my Christian Friends . . . Happy Chanukah to all my Jewish Friends, and without all of you, there would be no me.

Best Regards . . . Howard Galganov

  1. Howard, You are so right that until BHO calls out all of the Persian, Arab, African, and other predominantly Moslem countries to take out their long, thick, crooked, rusty, and dull knives to remove their own cancers, nothing useful will happen. I hope the last day’s events may help. Until BHO declares that his best friend Farrakahn is a bad person, nothing will happen. Also ask him (BHO) to show the press his wedding ring and what it says….
Glad you are in the Republic of Texas.
    Best,

  2. Howard, thank you for giving so many of us a voice.

Happy Chanukah to you and you family.

  3. Thank You for all you do for America and for here in Canada as well . May you be blessed by God continually .

  4. Howard, Anne, Stryker & the cat (forgot it’s name), I personally thank you from the bottom of my heart for your honesty, forthrightness & integrity. Without you, much of the world would surely be in the dark about our world. So, thank you and Happy Chanukah to all of you. See you in ’17!

  5. May the blessings of THE Season be returned to you – our love and prayers – Gary and Carolyn Burd, Amarillo TX

  6. Happy Chanukah Howard to you and Anne. I have really enjoyed your blog, thank God for the honesty it contains. I truly believe that Donald Trump is sincere in what he has said. However every day here in Canada seems to bring more bad news for us Canadians. The corruption and pigs at the trough is unbearable. Justin is only concerned about his own wellbeing and his future income stream. The Cabinet Ministers he has appointed are appalling. Enjoy the holidays.

  7. Here is a small gift of the sacred words of a Jewish Warrior

    Blessed Is The Match

    Blessed is the match consumed
    in kindling flame.
Blessed is the flame that burns
in the secret fastness of the heart.
Blessed is the heart with the strength to stop
    its beating for honor’s sake.
    Blessed is the match consumed
    in kindling flame.

  8. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and every good wish possible for your continued success. Many thanks for all the excellent information. Blessings to you and yours. Let’s hope Donald Trump and John Galt have much in common!

  9. I have read and corresponded with you for several years. As my health has declined I barely respond though read daily. Your occasional “dourness” has always been recognized by me as a way of instilling hope in your readers by pointing out lies, aduses and deceptions yet always offering so type of possible solution. Sometimes tangible but always emotionally. Sort of a lifeboat in a sea confusion. Bill

  10. I have subscribed for a couple years but don’t always take the time to read your blog. I get too busy with stuff that is happening to me at any particular time and sometimes the important stuff gets left behind. Your blog is always insightful, well thought out with the truth as you see it. May you continue to blog for many years and may I make the time to read it more often, I need it. I hope you and yours have the best coming year of your lives. Praise God!

  14. MANY thanks and judos to you for calling a spade a spade and not pandering for it to become a “wild card”!
A very joyous and happy season to you, Ann, Stryker, and of course my favorite, April the cat!
You exemplify the true value and meaning of the first amendment of our Constitution, and the Spirit of Freedom, Justice and true reasonable checks and balances.
    Shalom my friend,….and enjoy life!

  16. At the very end of your editorial, regarding deliriously drunk Canada; did you know that Donald Trump told Jesse Watters on Fox TV that he has never smoked, taken any drugs and drinks no alcohol? I was very impressed with his comments, I gave up cigarettes when I was 26 and like Trump, never touch alcohol cigarettes or drugs except those prescribed for blood pressure and cholesterol, which I detest taking! Keep the columns coming in 2017.

  17. Merry Christmas to all the Christians who read this blog. Happy Chanukkah to all the Jewish souls who read this blog. The Jewish faith is the root of Christianity. We are brothers and sisters in God almighty. My hope is that the Jewish people will some day come to know the child who was born on the day we celebrate on Dec. 25. It is time. Time is short!

  18. And without you, there would be a large void of an essential positive and courageous perspective. Happy Chanukah to you and family!

  19. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and yours.
Thank you for all the great articles you write. I have learned a lot reading this blog.

  20. To one and all -Merry Christmas and Happy Chanukah. Thank you Howard for a year full of interesting blogs. Contrary to Michelle Obama’s statement of ‘no hope’ – WE do have HOPE once again and Trump will be the ‘champion’ of all the ‘forgotten people’. Looking forward to a much better USA in every way (we can only wish the same for Canada in the future)!

  21. To one and all happy holidays and may the new year bring peace, good health to all in 2017.

  22. Betsy and I wish you and Anne a Happy Chanukah and a most prosperous New Year! I hope you make it back to Georgia before too long.

  23. Yahweh Elohim promises that we will all be united and He is working on His Plan however it in His timeframe. Things are starting to come together so hang on and enjoy the ride!

  24. Thank you Howard. You kept me believing there was hope. I wasn’t alone. When Obama won the 2nd time I felt like a 18 wheel truck just hit us. I could not believe that many non thinking people lived in my country. I feel like we can see a light out of the pit of darkness we lived in. Thank you and Happy Holidays to you and yours.

  25. A Happy Chanukah to you and yours Howard. We are all in for a big year, which will keep that pen of yours very busy in the coming months. I’m sure Trump will make things very interesting. CHANGE is on the way…good change. Susan

  26. When someone wishes me Happy Holidays I reply, “What holidays? You mean like Thanksgiving or Martin Luther King Day or Columbus Day or Washington’s birthday?” They’re at a loss for words. Finally they protest that they want to be “inclusive.” I reply, “Why inclusive now and not for those four other holidays? Don’t you realize that you’re EXCLUDING Christians by trying to be inclusive?” They think for a minute, then wake up and wish me Merry Christmas. I won a convert from political correctness.

  27. Donald Trump’s confidence and determination have made this a merry Christmas, indeed. By early November, I’d given up hope that he/we had a chance to overcome all the forces against us. But, Mr. Trump continued to expend tremendous energy and never gave up, never gave in, and God willed it that he, and we, should win.

Let us all give thanks to God and to Mr. Trump for rescuing the American dream. And, thank you, Howard.

  28. Enjoy all the days ahead for you and all your “extended family”, that includes everyone who reads, supports, or responds to your blog.
2017 will present interesting times, after Jan 6 and again Jan 16th. You will most certainly have much more material to write about…never mind “dour”, just keep the revealing optimism coming! Looking forward to Dec 31…in the mean time just relax and enjoy your “vacation”!

  29. Happy Hanukkah to you, dear Howard, and to Anne and Stryker, and a great and productive New Year to boot.

  30. I had no idea you have been doing this for 12 years, Howard, and I don’t know how I happened to get onto your mailing list about 6 months ago. It was a blessing! You are a real gift to all of us. Thanks for all you do! All the best…all the time to you and Anne!!!

  31. Thank you, Howard, for all that you do in the cause of Freedom. I enjoy your writings, as they stimulate serious thinking on nearly all the subjects you address. Happy Hanukkah to you and yours, and please accept my best wishes for continued success in the New Year!

  32. Mr. Galganov – May God bless you & you wife. May He send the Holy Spirit deep into your hearts, so deep you feel His special presence. God promised to save His special people-the Jewish Nation. God always keeps His promise. So,as you and Mrs Galganov have faith in God, His faith in you will be a blessing. Happy Hanukkah !!!! & keep looking forward in the New Year with courage, honor, great strength and righteousness. Shalom

And Merry Christmas to the Christians who read your blog!

  34. Howard…Thank you for your kind wishes and may all the best come to you. Writing IS therapy for many ills….especially for the way of the world today. Keep doing your thing and we will keep reading. Hope to see y’all after the new year.

    Chuck and Vickie.

  35. Thank you Howard for provoking many thoughts with each editorial. Frequently, I do not comment a there is nothing to add. You said it all. Hopefully you, Anne, and the pets will have a wonderful Chanukah. You are a good man.

  36. Again Happy Chanukah to you and Anne. Thank you so much for your devotion to the truth and dedication to making sure that truth is written in your editorials for as many as will read them. You truly are a beacon. Thank you and God bless you and Anne (Stryker and April too). Enjoy your holiday.

  37. Howard–Wishing you and Anne [and your pets, Stryker & April] a Very Merry Christmas & Happy Chanuka. Hope your New Year is a HEALTHY, HAPPY & WEALTHY one…yes all 3 of them because it doesn’t cost any more to wish for all 3…ha…ha….ha! Your Editorials have been very inspiring to all of us, plus they also offer a unifying “tone”, as noted by those who respond to other people’s comments. Apparently, we all agree to face the TRUTH, which is very RARE these days. Welcome to the USA! AMEN!

  38. Howard, I was just a disappointed in Trump, at the beginning, as you were. I thought what is this man doing???!!! He’s crazy. I don’t want him as MY President. Then it became only one – Trump! I saw him change & really get down to the business at hand. This is when my opinion started to change. I liked what I heard & honestly thought Trump could be MY President. I am looking forward to the future & that has been a long time coming. Happy Chanukah to you and Anne. :O)

  39. Thanks Howard for your thoughts which are so meaningful to me and your readers
Exactly what we are thinking but you have the right way of expressing. Happy Chanukah
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

  40. ….and so the christians celebrate the birth of a little jewish boy called jesus, why were the christians so mean to the jews throughout the ages. Nobody has ever presented a true theory of what happened here! Can you Howard?

  41. happy chanukah to you and Anne. May you elucidate even more in the coming year. Is there a way to go back and obtain more of your blogs?

  42. Thank you sir for being a major contributor to theaters awakening of America! Seriously, why don’t you run for Prime Minister of Canada? I bet you have more like minded people there than you think!!
God Bless you and yours with His abundance and good health. Your friend,

  43. It is certainly great to see “The Donald ” at work selecting his cabinet, however Canadians will come to realize our last government was the best we have had for many years and will give this one a single term. Thx Howard, now train your sights on Canada!!!

  44. Merry Christmas and Happy Chanukah to you, and have a wonderful New Year. Thank you for your editorials. I always seem to agree with your point of view.

  45. Many Christmas blessings to you, Howard, Anne, Stryker and April the cat. It has been one long year and through it all, you gave hope and truth with your blog. 47. All the best to you and your family!
Hopefully 2017 will bring back some rationality and common sense to this world…

  48. Thanks for a great year. Wishing Anne a Happy Birthday. A Very Merry Christmas to one and all and a Blessed 2017.

  49. I’m not convinced that journalism has a freedom attached to it as the situation Ezra Levant finds himself in here in Canada to me is deplorable. He called out some Muslims and has paid a steep price for it, now losing in the Appeals Court in a seven year old case. The Human Rights Tribunals the commie Trudeau created in 1977 are a farce but how do you fight to have them remove it from the books. It would be tough to be a right wing Jew in Canada these days.
    Anyway compliments of the season

  50. No matter how busy I may be at any given time, I ALWAYS make time to read your blog. You are a voice of sanity in an out-of-control world. Merry Christmas and best wishes for the holidays, Howard, to you and Anne and Stryker and April the cat and to any and all residents of your stable.
